The beauty of Ramson
Somali coastline is dreaded for the dangerous piracy that’s goes on there. Tens of sea vessels have been captured and outrageous ransoms demanded by Somali pirates, some of which has been paid either in full or negotiated. Snipers have also claimed a small number of these pirates, but just like the Hollywood movie stories, the Somali pirates have ‘another life’- a lavish one for that matter. They drive SUVs and high-end 4x4s, which in this part of the world cost a fortune, both to acquire and maintain. They are also an inappropriate investment in Somalia, gauging from the distressed economic state of this unstable country. But ransom money, does the job just well. This Back-story was shot in Boosaaso on the Northern Coast of Somalia.
